Tiziana M Florio received her Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from University of L’Aquila for her research on Neurophysiology and Neurobiology of the Basal Ganglia. She was a postdoctoral fellow of the European Structural Fund at the CNR, and then obtained the “Basal Ganglia Mechanisms in Motivation and Learning” European Community fellowship. From 2002 she is a Senior Lecturer at the University of L'Aquila. From 1995 she is involved in teaching activity concerning in Human Physiology, Neurophysiology, Ergonomics, Executive Control of Movement at the School of Medicine, Psychology and Biological Sciences at the Department of Life, and Department of Health and Environmental Sciences, and Biotechnological and Applied Clinical Sciences at the University of L’Aquila. Her research has focused on understanding of Movement Central control, Cognitive functions of the basal ganglia, MRI Molecular Imaging application in animal models of movement disorders and neurodegenerative disease. She has been I.N.F.N Associated (Institute of Nuclear Physics, linked group L'Aquila - Section National Laboratories of Gran Sasso). She is members and reviewers of international scientific societies, and has publications on international scientific journals, books volume contributions and conference communications and seminars.
